Multiple music award winner, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2baba, who had in past times resounded that he’s not caught out for politics, is set to swell the ranks of entertainers seeking political offices, as he’s now interested in it.
The living legend made this known while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos, saying his ambition is based on his desire to better the lives of the Naija people. According to him, it’s about time good people like him intervened in Nigeria’s politics. But then, he didn’t make known the political platform under which he would pilot his political affairs.
He also didn’t reveal to what level he would be seeking to actualize his political aspiration. Even so, Idibia said he was interested in affecting the lives of the Nigerian people positively and would soon pick up the challenge of a political position. He also urged youths to get more involved politically, as not doing so has detrimental effects on the nation.
Speaking to newsmen, the Hypertek Nigga said: “Politics affects everything I do. So, I am definitely going to be interested in politics. I will soon participate as a contestant and speak the truth at all times. I hope and pray that good men will rise up and make a difference in this country because we need more patriotic people in all aspects of life.”
